Wasps are particularly prevalent between May and September (temperature dependant)we have, however treated wasps even as late as October and November!. During this time they can become a nuisance and even a threat to humans around barbeques, beer gardens, litter bins, fruit trees and loft spaces.Wasp stings are caused by the injection of venom into the victim. The venom is haemolytic, haemorrhagic and neurotoxic. Histamine is also present that causes the redness and inflammation of the skin.

Control of Wasps
We utilise several types of control including direct treatment of the nest and installation of traps. We also have specialist control units for loft areas which operate all year round to prevent any nest developing in the first instance. Hornets
Twice the size of the common wasp and brown and yellow instead of black and yellow. Builds nests in hollow trees and similar sites and individuals only occasionally enter houses.
